When they reach the border, they have to climb a wall. Pitt, a man at an employment agency whom he thinks he recognizes, to work at a library. Happy reading everyone. Great plot twist at the end, and ultimately the book ended the way it should. His mother abandoned the family when he was five, and his father associated with organized criminals and was jailed for insurance fraud.

Then, after Leamas initiates the mission by assaulting a local grocer in order to get himself arrested, he gets Control to agree to leave Liz alone. He wakes up in a prison, badly beaten and tied up. I'd recommend this book to an advanced reader of ten plus who enjoys a very exciting and challenging book! Did not finish-too many characters!
