By turns tender and sexy and heartbreaking and exuberant, "A Place to Call Home" is an unforgettable journey between two hearts. He has a real passion for farming and trying to please everybody, but his ambitious business decisions are not very successful. Sections in Part I include the delicate balance of modern and traditional aesthetics, the juxtaposition of fancy and simple, and the details that make each project special and livable. Well umm Ugh?

Deborah really pulled her character off. If that isn't stalking I don't know what the hell is. Because Roan Sullivan was banished from Dunderry, Georgia, twenty years ago, and Claire hasn't heard from him since. I really thought I was on to something and that I had made a good choice when I decided to read the book. Georgie, now a well-known surfer, inherits his father's business.

This is a house of broken hearts. Later in the series, she leaves for Sydney to live with her daughter Carolyn, and to become a better person. Ayesha is a woman who is originally from Sri Lanka, she marries a man who lives in England, she gets horribly abused, but her daughter who is traumatized helps her make the decision to run away from her abusive husband and his silent family, with the clothes on her back to London, to seek help from an organization that takes care of abused women thank God for such people. The reader's sense is that these two could only belong to one another, and no one else.

Much like her secret daughter Anna, Carolyn was the rebel child of her generation. The past was perfect. Aside from his stalker tendencies for which he really should get checked I hated how immature Roanie was acting.
